Up-and-over “spires” using a custom fabricated metal frame and LED video tiles.
This project was a special challenge because of how time consuming the assembly process was. We ended up bolting the LED tiles in before shipping and created giant padded ramps with wheels to protect the fragile LED during transport. Luckily this was a local Chicago show!
The other challenge was content - I had to do a lot of cutting, mapping, and trickery in Premiere to get the ambient video to line up across both sets of three spires.
Multitracked audio experience that triggered live Siri and Alexa commands.
One of my favorite audio projects! I got to learn PreSonus Studio One multitrack audio software from scratch to deliver on the client’s vision of a surround sound demo room. The idea was to have this prerecorded audio track switch among four different speakers in the room to trigger voice commands on unmodified retail home automation devices.
Using a USB audio interface and Studio One I was able to successfully route audio to different parts of the room, and also devised a remote control replay system to repeat commands in case Siri didn’t get it the first time.

More a structural rigging challenge than anything else, though a decent amount of 3D modelling work went into matching the curved LED to the hanging sign above
